PLA
1.
A hands-on experience in the practice of product management.
2.
Not a conference. Not a lecture. The work itself.
“Less Theory. More Craft.”
Day 1
The conference
Inspire Africa Day 1 is designed as the broader Product Management conference: keynotes, fireside conversations, panels, and discussions with leading practitioners across the ecosystem.
Day 2
The Lab
Day 2 is intentionally different. Practicum by PLA is envisioned as a deliberately small, immersive experience where participants move from knowing about Product Management to practising it.
9 modules
Practicum 01
Discovery
Work through an ambiguous problem and determine what needs to be learned.
Practicum 02
Product Sense
Make decisions in an ambiguous Product scenario with weak signals.
Practicum 03
Prioritisation
Make difficult trade-offs with incomplete information and technical debt.
Practicum 04
Metrics
Decide what should actually be measured, why, and avoid vanity numbers.
Practicum 05
Roadmapping
Turn competing stakeholder demands into a coherent Product direction.
Practicum 06
Stakeholders
Work through a messy, conflicted cross-functional corporate situation.
Practicum 07
AI + Product
Use AI directly within the daily product discovery and delivery workflow.
Practicum 08
The Pivot
Respond decisively to disconfirming market evidence and change strategy.
Practicum 09
Product Review
Bring an unreleased product or idea and have experienced practitioners pressure-test it.
Practicum registration is separate from general Inspire Africa Day 1 conference registration. Day 1 is the conference, and Day 2 is the Lab.
